80 Graded Studies For Saxophone - Book 1 📚

A Wide Selection of Graded Pieces of 18th and 19th Century Repertoire for Alto and Tenor Saxophone Players

Level: Elementary to Early Intermediate (Grades 1-5)

"80 Graded Studies for Saxophone," selected and edited by John Davies and Paul Harris, is an essential resource for both Alto and Tenor Saxophone players. This two-volume collection brings together a wide selection of 18th and 19th-century repertoire, featuring studies by renowned composers such as Arban, Baermann, Blatt, Brod, and others. Additionally, it includes specially composed studies by Paul Harris, which introduce elements of 20th-century style, significantly broadening the scope of the selection.

The studies in Book One are arranged in order of increasing difficulty, ranging from elementary level to early intermediate (Grades 1-5). This carefully planned progression ensures that students can develop their technical skills systematically.

Studies are a crucial part of any instrumentalist's training, as they place technical challenges within musical contexts, making them invaluable tools for development. "80 Graded Studies for Saxophone" is a must-have resource for students and teachers alike and is prominently featured on the syllabuses of major examination boards.
