Review: "From teaching a beginner how to position the mouthpiece on one's lips to the very challenging 'Eighteen Solos', Cornet Method has something to test almost every player. Split into sections it takes the player through sustained notes, runs, appoggiaturas, double and triple-tonguing and cadenzas to name only a few. Each section is preceded with detailed descriptions of how to get the most from the exercises, as well as how to carry them out properly. Although I gained a lot from practicing the exercises what surprised me was how much I gained from reading the text and making the simple but effective adjustments to my playing style. A highly informative, useful and above all effective book for all players."
