Bela Bartok - Rumanian Folk Dances Violin with Piano Accompaniment Book

The Romanian Folk Dances by Bela Bartok are among his most beloved compositions. Originally scored for piano in 1915, this version was published in 1918. Bartok orchestrated the dances in 1917, and other chamber arrangements, like Zoltan Szekely’s violin and piano version, were later authorised by the composer.

These dances are based on folk melodies Bartok collected during his extensive travels across Eastern Europe. By 1918, Bartok had documented thousands of traditional tunes from Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia, preserving music that might have otherwise been lost. The Romanian Folk Dances specifically stem from Bartok's 1908 research in Transylvania.

This edition for violin and piano captures the spirit and character of Eastern European folk traditions, blending Bartok’s authentic folk arrangements with his compositional brilliance. A must-have for any advanced violinist exploring vibrant, culturally rich repertoire.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct delivery address is provided. Express Shipping is available. Please allow 1 day for handling and 2 to 2 working days for delivery, or longer for remote areas. Music2u will not replace any lost or delayed Australia Post items if the Economy Shipping option is selected at checkout.

  • Standard Shipping is a fully tracked service offered through Australia Post/Toll. A tracking number will is provided once your order is shipped. Please allow 2-6 business days for delivery of your order. 

  • Express Shipping is a fully tracked Express Service offered through Australia Post/Toll Priority.  A tracking number will is provided once your order is shipped. Please allow 1-3 business days for delivery of your order. 

Tracking Your Order

You will automatically receive your tracking information via the email you provided in the checkout as a tracking link. You can see the status of your parcel's journey there. If your parcel is taking longer than expected, let us know so we can locate your order. If selecting Economy Shipping, you will receive an email confirmation to notify you that your order has been shipped from our warehouse. You will not receive a tracking number for this service. 

Pre Orders

Please note that all 'single' pre-order books that arrive back in stock will ship via the standard Australia Post untracked service. The items that are in-stock will ship via your selected method at checkout, pre-orders will ship un-tracked when they arrive as to not incur an additional shipping fee.
