Crafted with gorgeous laminated dao wood, the DUC430 boasts a wood of many names: Paldao, also known as Paldoa, or Dracontomelum dao. Originating from South East Asia, this heartwood features a greyish-brown hue with a slightly green cast and distinctive dark streaks ranging from brown to black. Dao wood produces a lively and warm tone, bearing similarities to mahogany in terms of tonal characteristics.

The neck and fingerboard of the Dao ukuleles are meticulously crafted from African okoume and Walnut, creating a winning combination that ensures stable intonation across the fretboard, offers a comfortable feel for your hands, and presents an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
