We have packed this beauty into a soprano size to compress and focus the best assets of this instrument. The sapele wood brings out the percussive punch of a soprano uke. With the striking amber colours concentrated into this small gem, you won't want to put it down.

The Flight NUS380 Topaz is made from laminate sapele, a light hardwood from tropical Africa with a golden to dark reddish-brown colour. We then added a beautiful finish to produce a different and striking look. A close relative of mahogany, its grain is interlocked and has a uniform texture with a good natural luster. Its natural resonance is boosted and concentrated by the arched back of this ukulele, yielding a clear and bright tone. The rosettes in all our ukuleles are drawn by hand and engraved by laser-etching.

The neck and fingerboard are made from African okoume and walnut, a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well.

Of course, it is good to learn how to play the ukulele without using a strap, but why not use a strap if you can have it both ways? A strap makes holding the ukulele easier so you can keep playing for hours and allows you to be ‘hands-free’ between songs. We at Flight care about the comfort of our Flighters, which is why we started adding strap buttons to all Flight ukes!

The nut and saddle of this ukulele are made from bone (not from plastic), which results in better tone quality. Headstock design is an integral part of our identity. All Flight ukuleles feature a carefully-designed headstock fitted with geared tuners that will always stay in tune.
