"Edvard Grieg - Norwegian Dances Op 35 Piano Book" is an Urtext edition that showcases the significant influence of Norwegian folk music on Edvard Grieg’s compositions. For this collection, Grieg adapted old folk tunes, originally compiled by musician and researcher Ludvig Mathias Lindeman, and arranged them for piano four hands in 1880. Later, Grieg created a two-hand version, which is presented in this edition.

This Urtext edition, based on autographs from the Grieg Archive in Bergen, Norway, and contemporary first editions, provides a faithful representation of Grieg's intentions. Norwegian pianist and Grieg expert Einar Steen-Nokleberg co-edited the edition and provided the fingerings, ensuring that this publication is both historically accurate and practical for performers
