Designed for students who have completed approximately two years of violin lessons, this 56-page book guides young musicians through an expansive musical journey, from the Renaissance to contemporary music.

All pieces are arranged to be played in the first position with the four basic fingering patterns, ensuring accessibility for beginner students. For the two pieces that require position playing, easier alternatives are provided to accommodate different skill levels.

An accompanying CD greatly enhances the learning experience. It allows students to listen to each piece, aiding in musical comprehension and memorization. Furthermore, the CD includes separately recorded piano accompaniments, offering students valuable ensemble playing experience and helping them prepare for performances, whether they be lessons, recitals, or competitions.
