Johann Sebastian Bach - The Well Tempered Klavier 📚

Preludes And Fugues Book 1 (Urtext Edition)

This Urtext edition offers a purist approach, aimed at giving performers maximum interpretative freedom by eschewing editorial directions such as tempi and dynamics. However, to aid the pianist, suggested fingerings are provided.

Additionally, the preface contains insights into the recommended interpretation of ornaments. The layout prioritises clarity and legibility, spacing out the print and marking bar numbers at the start of each system for easy reference.

This collection has been meticulously edited by Ernst-Ganter Heinemann and graced with fingerings from the globally renowned pianist Andras Schiff. With a total of 139 pages, this edition promises a comprehensive and authoritative exploration of Bach's masterpiece.
