Robert Schumann - 

Robert Schumann (1810-1856) was a German composer and pianist, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Romantic music. Known for his expressive and emotionally complex works, Schumann made significant contributions to piano music, symphonic music, and chamber music. His compositions often reflected his deep personal experiences and inner turmoil, particularly his mental health struggles. Schumann's work includes symphonies, concertos, lieder (songs), and chamber music, with some of his most famous pieces being Carnaval, Kinderszenen, and his Symphony No. 3 ("Rhenish"). He also founded the influential music journal Neue Zeitschrift fur Musik, where he championed many young composers, including Brahms.
