An effective yet efficient means to practice sight-reading on a regular basis without having to retrieve music from the library, hand the music out to the band, collect it after rehearsal, reassemble the music in score order, and file it back in the library. Available in three volumes, each book provides one hundred short pieces (average length is 25 measures with a total of approximately 10 hours of sight-reading practice) and saves valuable rehearsal time. For effective rehearsal planning, an index is provided in the score with key signatures, meters and primary rhythmic figures to provide assistance in creating lesson plans. The music is arranged in a flexible manner so that it can be adapted to a wide range of ensemble sizes with varying instrumentation. The exercises feature various key signatures and meters, key changes, meter changes, accidentals, reversal of rhythms, repeats of various types, hemiola, and isolation of various sections of the ensemble. Books 1 and 3 are Easy to Medium Easy and Book 2 is Medium Easy to Medium in difficulty. The books can be rotated in use so there is always new material for students to read. An invaluable tool for the efficient preparation for sight-reading contests, allowing many opportunities to sight-read in class using theleast amount of time possible!

Most orders are dispatched via Australia Post, Couriers Please or Aramex. Orders are delivered typically within business hours only. Please allow 1-2 days for handling and 1 to 9 business days for delivery, depending on your selected shipping service. If you have not received your parcel within this time, please get in touch with us and we will open an enquiry for you. 

It is your responsibility to ensure that the correct delivery address is provided. Express Shipping is available. Please allow 1 day for handling and 2 to 2 working days for delivery, or longer for remote areas. Music2u will not replace any lost or delayed Australia Post items if the Economy Shipping option is selected at checkout. 

Our Shipping Options Include:

  • Untracked Shipping is an untracked shipping option offered through Australia Post with a Priority stamp. No tracking number is provided with this service. Please allow 4-7 business delays for delivery of your order. 

  • Standard Shipping is a fully tracked service offered through Australia Post. A tracking number will is provided once your order is shipped. Please allow 2-6 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow 6-8 days.

  • Sendle Courier is a courier service provided to most areas in Australia with deliveries being handled by Couriers Please and Aramex. Please allow 2-8 business days for delivery of your order.

  • Express Shipping is a fully tracked Express Service offered through Australia Post/Toll Priority.  A tracking number will is provided once your order is shipped. Please allow 1-3 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow 3-6 days.

Tracking Your Order

You will automatically receive your tracking information via the email you provided in the checkout as a tracking link. You can see the status of your parcel's journey there. If your parcel is taking longer than expected, let us know so we can locate your order. If selecting Economy Shipping, you will receive an email confirmation to notify you that your order has been shipped from our warehouse. You will not receive a tracking number for this service. 

Pre Orders

Please note that all 'single' pre-order books that arrive back in stock will ship via the standard Australia Post untracked service. The items that are in-stock will ship via your selected method at checkout, pre-orders will ship un-tracked when they arrive as to not incur an additional shipping fee.
