A Modern Method For Guitar - Volume 3 Book And Online Audio 📚

Continuing the comprehensive journey begun in Volumes 1 and 2, A Modern Method For Guitar - Volume 3 presents an in-depth exploration of advanced guitar concepts and techniques. Designed for dedicated guitarists who have completed the previous volumes, this book delves deeper into the world of guitar playing, providing you with a wealth of knowledge and skills to further refine your craft.

With 164 pages of extensive instruction, Volume 3 focuses on advanced playing tips and techniques that will elevate your guitar skills to new heights. The book delves into topics such as scales, arpeggios, rhythm guitar, chord/scale relationship, chord construction, and chord voicings, giving you a comprehensive understanding of these essential elements.

One of the key highlights of Volume 3 is its emphasis on chord construction and the melodization of three-note structures. You'll explore the intricacies of chord voicings and learn how to create rich and expressive musical textures through the intelligent use of chords. This exploration of chordal possibilities opens up a world of creative opportunities, allowing you to craft unique and compelling guitar arrangements.

Throughout the book, advanced playing techniques are thoroughly covered, providing you with the tools to expand your musical vocabulary and express yourself with greater precision and artistry. The book offers valuable insights into rhythm guitar, helping you develop a strong sense of groove and rhythmic variation in your playing.

Leavitt's practical, comprehensive method is used as the basic text for Berklee's guitar program. After mastering the fundamentals from Volumes 1 and 2, guitarists will be ready to take their skills to a more challenging level. This book teaches: techniques relating to scales, arpeggios, rhythm guitar, chord/scale relationships, chord construction and voicings, tips for advanced playing, and more. This edition with online audio includes demonstration tracks performed and produced by Larry Baione.

Audio is accessed online using the unique code inside the book. The audio files include PLAYBACK+, a multi-functional audio player that allows you to slow down audio without changing pitch, set loop points, change keys, and pan left or right.

Review:

“These books will always feature in my ‘all time best’ list. All three books should be in every guitarist’s bookshelf – in my case they became a musical bible that I will surely use my whole life. To me this is the best overall guitar method I have come across.”
