Stringtastic Teacher's Accompaniment Book 1 (Book and Online Audio)

57 Imaginative Pieces Designed to Secure Playing Technique & Build Confidence whilst Exploring a Variety of Music Styles

Level: Early Elementary

Stringtastic Teacher's Accompaniment Book 1 (Book and Online Audio) is a comprehensive resource for teachers guiding early elementary string students. Designed to complement the Stringtastic Book 1 series, this accompaniment book provides the complete piano score for 57 imaginative pieces, allowing violin, viola, cello, and double bass players to learn and play together in any combination.

These pieces, which take students from the basics of the D major scale to Grade 1, are designed to build solid playing technique and confidence one step at a time. Featuring equal-level duets for all instruments, this book is ideal for individual lessons, group tuition, and flexible ensemble settings. Every piece is supported by exciting backing tracks and a piano-only version for practice, all available for download.

With 80 pages of adaptable piano accompaniments, this teacher's guide is a valuable tool for creating a dynamic and engaging learning experience for students.

Review:

Mark Wilson and Paul Wood have developed an engaging and accessible new series of string-playing method books… The presentation will appeal to young learners, and the careful, well-conceived pedagogy will thrill their teachers! Furthermore, the Stringtastic integrated approach gives proper deference to the social aspect of music-making by allowing violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists to play together from the start. I look forward to sharing this method with my young students and colleagues in early music education. - Dr. Mark Elliot Bergman, Director of Strings and Orchestral Studies, Sheridan College.
